DWC has resources and scholarships!

Scholarship for Candidate Training

There are 2 scholarship levels: up to $50 and $51-$500. Applicants must be:

  • 18+
  • Willing to register as a Democrat
  • Willing to join the Democratic Women’s Club of Worcester County (DWC) (membership is $15)
  • Planning to run for a position that impacts Worcester County. This includes: MD Congressional District 1, State Senator district 38, State Delegate districts 38a and 38c, County Commissioner, School Board member, city and town council members and a variety of offices in the county courthouse.

There are many training programs, classes, and webinars both in person and online to help an individual assess and improve knowledge of what it takes to be a successful candidate at the local, state or national level.

The programs cover fundraising, campaign strategy, public speaking, media, messaging, ethics, leadership and more. Many of the programs are free.

If you would like to get more involved with the local Democrats the DWC meets monthly on the 3rd Monday except for July and August and the Democratic Club of Worcester County (DCWC) meets on the 4th Thursday.
