PAC meetings are always open and new members are welcome to join any time.  Our meetings are on the second Monday of each month at 2 p.m. via ZOOM. 2024 Activities:

Congratulations to our postcard writers!  We cannot thank you enough for the gift of your time, donations and many hours of volunteer service in 2023. More than 45 volunteers at various postcard sessions wrote literally thousands of postcards to voters in support of both national and local candidates.  

We had great representation at many Honk and Wave events throughout the area, and we staffed more than 20 voter education events!  

It was a big election year, so we didn’t let up on our voter education and registration efforts — we reached out to several sources to help us be more focused on educating voters on how city and county legislation affects our daily lives and consequently, how important it is to vote in local and state elections.  This was our new conversation starter for all events that we attended with our voter registration table. 

2025 Goals and Opportunities:

Goals

• Work with groups recruiting candidates and share training resources with them.
• Attend school board and county commissioner meetings to support full funding for education and monitoring the right-wing attacks on education policy.
• Follow state legislation including education funding, revenue bills and immigrant rights.
• Help protect immigrants on the shore by supporting immigrant rights groups.
• Combat disinformation and counter lies by taking on line trainings and developing strategies.

Opportunities

• Letters to the editor – there is an ongoing campaign. To join our letter writing team email beachyogi@me.com
• Rallys – there will be occasional rallies and protests and regular honk and waves on Rt. 50. Announcements are made in our action alerts.
• Fall postcards parties are scheduled. We will be writing for Virginia, New Jersey and Special elections.
